ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the Main Line-1 (ML-1) railway project, prioritizing the Karachi-Hyderabad section in the first phase. During Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang’s official visit to Pakistan, both nations agreed to optimize the project’s construction and financing. They also pledged to strengthen financial and banking cooperation, further deepening the strategic partnership initiated by President Xi Jinping’s 2015 visit. The two sides emphasized their collaboration on CPEC projects, including the Karakoram Highway, Gwadar Port, and industrial development, while supporting mutual goals in global financial platforms.
