ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong to discuss advancing the Phase-2 of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The Ministry, in coordination with China’s National Development and Reform Commission, plans to organize high-level workshops to bring together experts from both nations to shape the future of CPEC. Emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to protecting Chinese nationals and projects, Minister Iqbal condemned a recent attack on Chinese citizens, assuring stringent security measures. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to critical projects like Main Line-1 (ML-1) and Gwadar’s development, as well as collaboration in agriculture, mining, and industrial cooperation.
