ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, highlighted the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai as a prime platform for Pakistani businesses, particularly SMEs, to tap into the Chinese market. With over two dozen Pakistani companies showcasing textiles, handicrafts, and agricultural goods, Hashmi encouraged greater use of e-commerce to boost reach among Chinese consumers. He urged collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to enhance exports and pointed out China’s vast import potential, noting that its total trade reached $5.88 trillion in 2023.
