ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, has called on party officials to prepare a strategy for avoiding arrests during the planned protest on November 24. In a recently leaked audio recording, which is said to have been made at the Chief Minister’s House, Bushra Bibi can be heard urging party leaders to plan for the protest while ensuring loyalty to Imran Khan, managing the expected internet shutdown, and avoiding detentions.
“November 24 will be a loyalty test for PTI members,” Bushra Bibi says in the audio, underscoring the importance of the day. She also emphasized that party members should document and share videos with both local and international media, particularly to counter the anticipated internet blockade. Those who fail to do so, she warned, might not receive party tickets for future elections.
In a separate meeting with leaders of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) and the Youth Wing, Bushra Bibi urged them to rally young people for the November 24 protest. She conveyed a strong message from her husband, Imran Khan, who expressed his deep trust in the youth and their potential to drive the movement forward.
Bushra Bibi also held individual discussions with key PTI figures, including Gul Zafar, a leader from Bajaur, praising his commitment to the party on behalf of Imran Khan. These engagements highlight her growing role in guiding PTI’s strategy, particularly in the face of mounting challenges.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan, currently incarcerated, has made his final decision about the protest date, which was confirmed by his sister, Aleema Khan. After a meeting with her brother, Aleema Khan shared with the media that November 24 will mark the culmination of PTI’s resistance, following what the party claims was the theft of its mandate back in February. The PTI leadership insists that the establishment of selected leaders through the 26th Amendment has stripped the people of their rights, a sentiment that has fueled the upcoming demonstration in the capital.
