ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Lahore High Court has rejected the PTI founder’s request for interim bail in all cases filed against him.
The petition, filed by Noreen Niazi, the founder’s sister, sought bail in relation to multiple cases.
The court also reviewed reports from both the Punjab and Federal Interior Departments regarding the cases against the PTI founder.
Punjab Home Department reported that no cases had been registered against the PTI founder in the province, while the Islamabad Police stated that 62 cases had been filed against him.
Additionally, 54 cases were registered within the limits of Punjab, according to the advocate for the Punjab government.
During the hearing, Justice Farooq Haider noted that the accused must appear before the court before a decision on bail can be made, emphasizing that the request for interim bail was not in line with legal requirements.
The court ultimately disposed of the petition, citing the information provided in the reports from both federal and provincial authorities.
