ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pak-China Friendship Hospital (PCFH) in Gwadar has provided free, high-quality healthcare to over 21,000 patients, particularly women and children, in its first seven months of operation. Established with $100 million in Chinese funding under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the 150-bed facility offers advanced medical care across specialties such as gynecology, neurology, cancer care, and pediatrics. Operated by the Indus Hospital & Health Network, the hospital features a fully paperless system, easing access for the local illiterate population. Serving Gwadar and neighboring areas, it also introduced a “Help Desk Initiative” for seamless appointment scheduling and emergency services. The hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities, including mammography services, have made it a cornerstone of public health in the region.
