ISLAMABAD (PEN) : A high-level Chinese business delegation, led by Consul General Yang Yundong, expressed interest in investing $1 billion to establish a state-of-the-art medical city in Pakistan, aiming to transform the country’s healthcare sector. During a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi, the delegation also explored investment opportunities in agriculture, energy, transportation, and manufacturing. President Zardari welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the strong historical ties between Pakistan and China, the shared vision for developing Gwadar Port, and efforts to enhance cultural linkages through Chinese language courses in Sindh. The meeting also involved Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and provincial ministers.
