ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Chinese and Pakistani diplomats, supported by the Sindh government, signed MoUs for five transformative projects in Karachi, including local assembly of electric vehicles, solar panel manufacturing, slow-release fertilizers, algae farming, and a medical city in the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone. Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah hosted the ceremony, joined by senior officials and a Chinese delegation that also met Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and former President Asif Ali Zardari. The Sindh government emphasized its commitment to supporting Chinese investors, highlighting initiatives like EV taxi services, solar parks, and a ten-year tax exemption for Dhabeji industries. These projects aim to boost employment, enhance public-private partnerships, and strengthen Pakistan-China economic ties, while addressing energy needs and promoting industrial growth.
