ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced the groundbreaking launch of the Minorities Card, set to debut in January—marking a first in Pakistan’s history.
Speaking at a heartfelt Christmas ceremony in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz celebrated the invaluable contributions of the Christian community to the nation. She expressed her deep admiration, saying, “We are introducing the Minorities Card for the first time. If it were up to me, I would increase the budget for minorities by 5,000%.”
Maryam emphasized the importance of creating a society where everyone can live free from fear, violence, or discrimination. Her words reflected a genuine commitment to fostering inclusivity and equality for all citizens.
During the event, Maryam Nawaz cut a special Christmas cake, sharing in the joy of the occasion. She extended warm greetings to the Christian community, offering her best wishes on behalf of herself and her father, Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
