ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The month-long faculty training workshop, organized by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC), concluded successfully at the University of Gujrat (UOG) on December 26, 2024. The workshop, which began on November 19, 2024, was meticulously designed to enhance the professional capabilities of lecturers and assistant professors, improve teaching standards, and foster a holistic learning environment.
The training program saw active participation from 26 lecturers and assistant professors from UOG, who displayed remarkable enthusiasm and dedication throughout the sessions. Participants expressed optimism that the insights and strategies gained would have a lasting impact on their academic and professional endeavors, ultimately contributing to raising the standards of education at their institution.
During the closing ceremony held on December 26, 2024, Prof. Dr. Audil Rashid, Training Course Coordinator & Director ORIC, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. He underscored the critical role of such workshops in faculty development and emphasized their contribution to strengthening Pakistan’s higher education sector.
Dr. Rashid extended special thanks to HEC and NAHE officials, including Mr. Sulaiman Ahmad, Mr. Muhammad Saleem Qamar, and Ms. Noor Amna Malik, for their continuous support and funding of the workshop. He also acknowledged the assistance provided by various UOG offices, with a special mention to Prof. Dr. Zahid Yousaf, Dean Faculty of Arts and Chairperson Mass Communication, for facilitating studio and camera support during the training sessions. A special note of appreciation was extended to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mushahid Anwar, Vice Chancellor of the University of Gujrat, for his outstanding leadership and unwavering support throughout the one-month training program.
