ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has launched the first trade shipment from China to the UAE via Pakistan’s land-sea route under the TIR system, marking a major milestone for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A truck carrying electronic equipment departed Kashgar, Xinjiang, stopping at the NLC Dry Port in Sost, Gilgit-Baltistan, before reaching Karachi and then Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port. This new route reduces transit time to just 10 days, offering significant benefits to the business community and enhancing regional connectivity. The Khunjerab Pass, now operational year-round, further strengthens this efficient trade corridor.
