ISLAMABAD (PEN) : China’s newly appointed envoy to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, reaffirmed Pakistan’s enduring significance as a top priority in China’s neighborhood diplomacy. He emphasized China’s strategic and long-term perspective on its relationship with Pakistan and highlighted the potential for China’s development to bring fresh opportunities to their cooperation. Jiang Zaidong also underscored the deepening military exchanges and collaboration between the two countries, the substantial results in economic and trade cooperation, and the significant role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in solidifying their friendship. Furthermore, he mentioned the continuous expansion of people-to-people bonds and cultural exchanges as a testament to the strengthening ties between the nations.
