ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong, highlighted at a reception for International Women’s Day that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives have generated significant employment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly for women, enabling them to demonstrate their skills across various sectors. He emphasized the growing cooperation between China and Pakistan, foreseeing a rise in employment prospects for women in the coming years. Yang Yundong cited the example of the Thar Coal Mine project, where over a hundred women have been trained as truck drivers, actively contributing to local development and transforming their own lives through participation in the project’s construction.
