Russia is increasing interaction with Uzbek partners. This was said today, on April 5, 2021, by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov at the opening of the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition in Tashkent.
“The best proof of our interest is more than three hundred Russian companies that present here their achievements in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, energy, information technology, pharmaceutical and medical industries,” said the head of the Russian industry.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov thanked the Russian side for the initiative to hold the INNOPROM exhibition in Tashkent.
“The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev pays priority attention to creating the most favorable investment climate in the country,” he said in his speech.
It was emphasized that “over the past four years, a lot of work has been done in Uzbekistan aimed at accelerated socio-economic development and liberalization of the country’s economy, creating a completely new investment and business climate, and further integrating the country’s economy into the world community.”
In particular, S. Umurzakov noted such factors in the development of the investment climate as the beginning process of reforming the banking and financial system, reducing the tax burden on business, introducing additional benefits and preferences for investors. Also, work is underway to liberalize the foreign trade regime, in particular, import customs duties and excise taxes on a wide range of products have been significantly reduced or completely abolished, and all quantitative restrictions on imports have been canceled.
“More than 11 thousand foreign investors have already believed in large-scale reforms in our country, which have become irreversible, including world-renowned companies that have located their production facilities in Uzbekistan. We call on the participants of today’s exhibition to follow their example. We are open for cooperation and are ready to closely cooperate, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition and business program of the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan”, which is held for the first time in Tashkent on April 5-7, 2021, more than 300 industrial companies and business delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic, and Japan take part.
