ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif honored prominent Chinese companies in recognition of their valuable contributions to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other development projects in Pakistan. The Prime Minister praised the transformative impact of Chinese investments on Pakistan’s economy and acknowledged the companies’ investment of over thirty billion dollars in various projects. The second phase of CPEC will focus on agriculture, IT, and the establishment of Special Economic Zones. Shehbaz Sharif commended the Chinese companies for their hard work in Pakistan’s development and expressed gratitude to the Chinese Charge d’ Affaires for their personal involvement in strengthening the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan. In response, the Chinese Charge d’ Affaires, Ms Pang Chunxue, expressed confidence in continued cooperation between the two countries over the next ten years to promote the high-quality development of CPEC and foster a shared future for China and Pakistan.
