ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The decision about appointments of officials in Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been finalized.
It has been reported that Senator Ishaq Dar to be appointed as foreign minister. As per sources, the former foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani would assume the role of advisor foreign affairs.
While, Tariq Fatmi would be appointed as special assistant to prime minister on foreign affairs.
As per sources, Ishaq Dar, Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tariq Fatmi would jointly run the foreign office and deal with foreign affairs.
The newly nominated officials for foreign office, Ishaq Dar, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and Tariq Fatmi met with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the matters related to office.
The consultations between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), the leading party in the National Assembly and allied parties are ongoing to form the federal cabinet.
The party has nominated the key party leaders for coveted offices in the center.
