ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Thursday that only a stable government could steer the country out of its economic woes.
US Ambassador Donald Blome called on CM Maryam in Lahore. Blome felicitated CM Maryam on becoming the first woman chief minister of Punjab. Blome commended the efforts of CM Maryam to speed up the projects for the welfare of the masses.
“It is commendable that CM Maryam is taking an interest directly in the projects in line with the welfare of the masses,” he said.
Blome maintained: “The United States is willing to further join hands with the Punjab government to end poverty and strengthen the economy.”
Expressing her thoughts, CM Maryam said: “With the government’s economic policies, inflation is being reduced.”
She maintained: “The economic ties between Pakistan and the United States are based on decades. We will provide a suitable environment for US investment in Punjab. We welcome the partnership of the US in the sectors of agriculture, industry, and IT.”
“We have shaped up the joint strategy to provide high quality education, health facilities, and cheap roti,” CM Maryam maintained.
She vowed to ensure that the rights and basic necessities were provided to the masses.
