Pakistan has purchased 12 million more doses of covid-19 vaccines from China, which were airlifted by four planes of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), over the weekend, from Beijing to Islamabad. These doses have been secured as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to prevent and control the spread of the covid-19 pandemic. Pakistan has been able to vaccinate 51 million people, primarily through Chinese help, starting March 2021.
