ISLAMABAD (PEN): Under the master plan, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has submitted a proposal to get tax-free status for the proposed SED for a term of 30-35 years. The proposal intends to offer foreign investors and traders with the same perks and incentives as local enterprises in special economic zones across the country. As a networking centre, Gwadar plays a critical role in the CPEC. Gwadar’s deep-sea port will benefit not just China and Pakistan, but also Central Asia as a whole.
