KARACHI : The University of Gwadar (UG) hosted a session on “Great Power Rivalry or Cooperation? Gwadar, Pakistan and Geo-Economics” during the Eighth Gwadar Book Festival at RCDC Gwadar. Chairman Senate Committee on Defence Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, the keynote speaker, emphasized that Pakistan is located in a strategic position where significant transformations are taking place, including the peaceful rise of China and Pakistan’s efforts to become a regional connectivity hub through CPEC. He stressed the importance of proactively promoting CPEC as the flagship project of the BRI and the most significant diplomatic and developmental initiative of the 21st century, marking a transition from geopolitics to geo-economics.
