ISLAMABAD :The National Research Center of Intercropping (NRCI) at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is home to a group of young agricultural scientists from Pakistan. Their focus is on researching strip intercropping technologies, with the aim of reducing Pakistan’s reliance on imported food commodities, particularly soybean, which is a significant burden on the nation’s economy. The collaboration between the Pakistani and Chinese scientists is noteworthy, as it has produced a research project tailored specifically to Pakistan’s unique circumstances, serving as a prime example of successful scientific research and educational exchange between the two nations.
