ISLAMABAD : Minister for Planning Development, Professor Dr. Ahsan Iqbal, emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a crucial element in the bilateral economic partnership between China and Pakistan. In a letter addressed to Zheng Shanjie, the newly-appointed Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, the Planning Minister extended his congratulations and reaffirmed his commitment to the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative and the CPEC. Professor Dr. Ahsan Iqbal underscored the government’s efforts in revitalizing stalled CPEC projects and accelerating their progress. He also highlighted the successful completion of the initial phase of the CPEC, which has brought about a transformative effect on Pakistan’s economic landscape.
