ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, emphasized during a weekly media briefing that Pakistan and China remain dedicated to enhancing collaboration within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). She highlighted the substantial benefits Pakistan has gained from CPEC, including the creation of more than 200,000 jobs, the addition of 8000 MW of power to the national grid, the construction of 510 kilometers of highways and 932 kilometers of road network, along with an 820-kilometer-long optical fiber line. Mumtaz Zahra reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further develop cooperation under CPEC, intending to establish it as a pivotal connectivity project for the broader region. The second phase of CPEC encompasses various aspects such as rural revitalization, agricultural development, industrialization, green development, and advancements in science and technology.
