ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan and China are transitioning into the second phase of the green corridor, marking the end of challenging times. During an event honoring Chinese companies operating under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Sharif praised their contribution to Pakistan’s industrial advancement, job creation, and strong bilateral relations. He highlighted the substantial $30 billion investment made by China in Pakistan as part of the CPEC. The second phase of CPEC will encompass initiatives like the green corridor, innovative and information technology corridors, and the Rashakai Special Economic Zone.
