To honor the “Chinese New Year” and show solidarity with Chinese friends, the Pak-China Study & Research Center (PCS&RC) at Bahria University Islamabad, in collaboration with the China Media Group (CMG), organized a special event.
The event emphasized both the cultural celebration and the educational connections between China and Pakistan. The festivities, scholarly discussions, and delightful moments shared by Chinese and Pakistani attendees underscored the significance of fostering stronger relations between the two nations.
Distinguished guests from institutions such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), and various universities in Islamabad and Lahore attended alongside a large number of students.
The event commenced with great enthusiasm. Dr. Hassan Daud Butt, Assistant Professor at Bahria University, and Dr. Safadr Ali Shah, Director General of CPEC, HEC addressed the students, emphasizing the cultural parallels between China and Pakistan.
They highlighted the warm and family-friendly environment in China, as well as the deep respect for elders. Additionally, scholarship opportunities for students in China were discussed.
The festivities concluded with an entertaining movie showcasing the vibrant celebrations of the “Chinese New Year” and the preparation of the traditional Chinese dish, “Dumplings”.
Both Chinese and Pakistani attendees thoroughly enjoyed the event, and guests expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the PCS&RC Bahria University and CMG in fostering stronger people-to-people relations between the two nations.
