ISLAMABAD (PEN): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that Beijing is attending the 48th meeting of the OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers to create a partnership with the Muslim world as well as promote unity and cooperation for multilateralism. After a bilateral meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told the media that the OIC CFM’s theme of “Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development” was extremely important in the current situation and was the primary reason for China’s participation. Qureshi and Wang Yi also discuss areas of mutual concern, such as the situation in Afghanistan and the Ukraine conflict.
