LAHORE : The Smart Classroom project, part of the CPEC, has been launched at the University of Education in Lahore. This initiative falls under the broader framework of ‘Smart Universities: Transformation through Smart Classrooms’ in the CPEC. The project aims to strengthen online and distance learning in Pakistan’s higher education sector, addressing issues such as quality faculty shortage, student-teacher interaction, and education standards. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, highlighted the significance of the project and inaugurated a training workshop in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Huawei, aimed at equipping faculty and IT staff with skills to effectively utilize smart classroom technologies. Dr. Talat expressed gratitude towards the Chinese government and Huawei for their support in bringing this project to fruition.
