ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated three HEC-sponsored centers at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad: the Pakistan China Joint Research Centre on Earth Sciences, Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Material and Emerging Sciences, and the Centre of Excellence for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CE-CPEC). These centers, approved by the Central Development Working Party, will play a crucial role in producing world-class researchers and benefiting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The Vice-Chancellor of QAU, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, expressed gratitude to the government and Chinese counterparts for their support in establishing these research centers during the ceremony.
